I have watched with dismay the price of wholesale flowers going up and up across the board.  It doesn’t matter where the flowers are coming from, Miami, California, etc. because all flowers are shipped into the Midwest, either by plane or truck.  Obviously, these prices are not only affecting Petals Galore, but every single florist and floral merchant in the Midwest.  As I am sure you can guess, it is the cost of fuel that is causing the prices of flowers to soar.  Throughout the spring and summer months Petals Galore has taken on 100%  of these price increases.  We have not passed any of these increases along to our clients.  Unfortunately, we can no longer afford to do this.  As of August 1, 2008, Petals Galore will be adjusting its prices accordingly to reflect the current costs of the wholesale market.
